MEETINGS: The Housing Subcommittee did not have a meeting for the month of October. The next meeting is scheduled for November 6, 2008, at 10am, in the GCIC conference room.
UPDATES: Guam Comprehensive Housing Study 2008: Documents related to the RFP for the Housing Study have been submitted to the Office of the Public Auditor. Currently awaiting decision from the Hearing Office, this is expected in “mid‐October” according to Hearing Officer. SAGAN BONITA – Affordable Housing Project: o A new Request for Bids (RFB) will be announced. Previous RFB was cancelled. GUMA TRANKILIDAT – Expansion of elderly housing o A new Request for Proposals (RFP) will be announced. Previous RFP was cancelled. o The RFP is to solicit proposals to expand the current number of units for the elderly, on the existing property. Homelessness o GHURA, on behalf of the Guam Homeless Coalition has issued a RFP for technical assistance in conducting the Guam Homeless Count. The evaluation has been completed and negotiations with the “Best offeror” are ongoing. This homeless count is a requirement from HUD, as a condition of receiving money to end homelessness. The count will occur on a day during the last seven days of January 2009. Other Government Agencies – Status o The other agencies have nothing new to report. |
