The buying factors
OpenFit Air Scorecard
Editorial scores reflect listed features and buyer fit; they are not laboratory measurements or customer ratings.
Open-ear design
Leaving the ears open is a strong fit for listeners who want to remain aware of nearby sounds while listening, though it does not isolate external noise.
Earhook fit
The adaptable earhook is designed to stay securely in place, which can appeal to active users who prefer an over-ear anchor.
Battery flexibility
Up to 6 hours per charge, 28 hours with the case, and a 10-minute quick charge offer several ways to manage listening between charges.
Device pairing
Multipoint pairing with two devices suits people who move between a work device and a personal phone.
Moisture resistance
IP54 water resistance supports consideration for sweaty or damp everyday use, but does not make these earbuds suitable for swimming.
App customization
EQ modes and customizable button functions give listeners some control over audio preferences and operation through the companion app.

Who Should Buy OpenFit Air?
Good fit
Choose OpenFit Air if you want open-ear listening with an earhook intended to stay secure during everyday use.
This design lets you hear some surrounding sound, making it worth considering for commutes and routines where a sealed earbud is not your preference.
It can also suit listeners who regularly switch between two devices or want app-based EQ and button customization. The case and quick-charge option help bridge shorter charging gaps, though the per-charge listening window is up to 6 hours.
Who should skip it
Skip it if your priority is blocking out background noise: the open-ear format leaves the ears open to surrounding sound. It is also not the right design for swimming, despite its water-resistance rating.
OpenFit Air: What Matters for Everyday Listening
Open-ear listening and awareness
The open-ear concept is the defining choice here.
It permits awareness of the environment while audio plays, which can be useful when you want less isolation; it cannot replace attention to traffic or other hazards, and it will not provide the sound blocking of a sealed earbud.
Earhooks and activity
The adaptable earhook is built to remain in place, giving active listeners an alternative to earbuds held only by an in-ear seal.
Fit remains personal, so buyers sensitive to earhooks should check the return terms and comfort for their own ears.
Charging around a busy day
The stated battery arrangement gives up to 6 hours from the earbuds and up to 28 hours with the case.
A 10-minute charge adds 2 hours of listening, which can help when a short top-up is all that fits into a break.
Calls, controls, and water resistance
Four microphones and multipoint pairing address connectivity needs, while the SHOKZ app adds EQ and customizable button functions. IP54 water resistance may suit ordinary damp conditions; for frequent outdoor calls, check microphone performance in wind before buying.
